Our International Partners, Cognita, own a number of schools in which young talents are recognized and nurtured to bring out the best in them in preparation for the challenges of a fast moving world. We focus on children within the age group of 4 to 18 years.

The primary school programme is targeted at children between the ages of 4 to 12 years and gives attention to the complete development of the child in the classroom and beyond.

The high school programme is for students aged 12 to 16 and provides a framework of academic challenges and life skills through embracing and transcending traditional schools subjects.

It is possible to submit your admission application and documents by post or email, however the processing time will take a little longer. You will need to send application forms and other required documents in a special delivery envelope or attached in an email, please refer to our contact details for our address.

Application Requirements

For primary, secondary, GSCE and A-levels, we will require a completed application form, data-page of international passport and a recent report grade sheet.

For foundation, under-graduate or post-graduate you will be required to show you have completed secondary education in line with the required grades, academic transcript, professional reference, a personal statement concerning your choice of course and other matching documents.

It is also likely that you would need to provide proof of English-language proficiency like TOEFL or IELTS.

Why study abroad?

Where in the world should I study?
Popular destinations and economically viable countries which OIS can process student admission for you includes: United Kingdom, Spain, USA, China, Vietnam and Singapore.
Where will I live while I'm abroad?
For most programs or educational levels, OIS can arrange for you to live with carefully chosen Host families close to your school that will match your personality and interests. Children are treated like local students, constantly monitored and brought up with moral values. You can also rent your own flat, live with other students from around the world in shared apartments or in a school accommodation.
Can family visit or live with me while abroad?
Yes. Your family can apply for a tourist visa and visit you when they want. For UK and Spain, if a child is below age 12, a parent will be eligible to apply for not just a visiting visa but child tier 4 dependent visas and live with the kid(s) throughout their stay.
What are the entry requirements
Different programs are right for different people and entry requirements vary widely between schools and countries. A child needs to be 4 years to apply for a study program abroad. Will I need to attend an admission interview?
No, you will not be required to attend an admission interview. However, depending on the program applied for or school, there could be an interview via Skype.
Applicants would also have the opportunity to ask more questions directly to the school's international admission officer.

What else will I do when am offered admission?
Great! You are in. To secure your admission you will need to pay an initial terms or semesters deposit fee. Primary and Secondary schools would ask to include another deposit/bond to be refunded when the child completes the study abroad or withdraws with prior notice given to the school authority.
It is also essential to bank in other terms fees and living expenses for at-least 28days. This usually serves as evidence of students finance to cover the period of studies.
When can I start applying for study aboard programs?
Application deadline will be different depending on the school but early application is the best way to go. Kids from Grade 1(PRY 1) to Grade 11 (GCSE or WAEC) can be transferred abroad at anytime of the year but A-levels and degree programs usually commence in January & September and application is open at-least 5(five) months before each academic session.
How can I get a Visa?
OIS will guide you through the visa application process, we have a team of experienced visa counsellors and our visa success rate stands at 99%.
Can I work during my studies abroad?
Often there is a limit of 20 hours paid work per week during your studies (18yrs and above), your school will provide you with a reference letter to prospective employer.
Will I get refund if my visa is refused?
Having paid a deposit to the institution for tuition fees and your visa is refused; you will receive a refund of the deposit when we send the school a copy of your visa refusal letter. However, some of the schools will usually retain a small amount usually no more than £100 or $140 for admission fee.
Can I submit an application by proxy?
Yes you can. From our Abuja based office where we operate, we can remotely commence an application process for you, all you have to do is to forward us the relevant admission documents.
